Advanced M8-M30 Chemical Anchors for High-Load Structural Bonding
Our Chemical Anchors are designed for critical fastening applications where mechanical expansion anchors are not suitable. By utilizing a high-bond Resin Capsule (Vinylester or Epoxy), these anchors create a chemical bond between the threaded stud and the concrete. This expansion-free mechanism allows for closer spacing and edge distances without risking concrete cracks.
Available in a full range from M8 to M30, our chemical bolting systems are perfect for retrofitting, bridge construction, and securing heavy industrial equipment.
- High Load Capacity: Superior pull-out strength compared to standard expansion bolts.
- No Expansion Stress: Ideal for fastening near edges or in low-strength concrete.
- Vibration Resistance: The resin fills the entire hole, dampening vibrations from machinery or seismic activity.
- Water-Tight Seal: Protects the hole from water ingress and corrosion of the reinforcement bars.
| Thread Size | Drill Hole (mm) | Embedment Depth | Curing Time (20°C) |
|---|---|---|---|
| M8/M10 | 10/12 mm | 80/90 mm | 20 min |
| M12 | 14 mm | 110 mm | 20 min |
| M16 | 18 mm | 125 mm | 20 min |
| M20 | 24 mm | 170 mm | 20 min |
| M24-M30 | 28/35 mm | 210/280 mm | 20 min |
*Note: Curing time depends on the resin type and ambient temperature.
Critical Curing Time for Chemical Anchors
The curing time of the chemical resin depends on the ambient temperature of the concrete. Please follow the table below to ensure the structural integrity of the chemical anchor. Do not apply any load until the full curing time has passed.
| Concrete Temp. (°C) | Gel Time (Min) | Full Curing Time (Min) |
|---|---|---|
| -5°C to 0°C | 10 min | 300 min |
| 0°C to 10°C | 8 min | 60 min |
| 10°C to 20°C | 6 min | 40 min |
| 20°C to 30°C | 4 min | 20 min |
| 30°C to 40°C | 2 min | 10 min |
Note: If the concrete is wet or the hole is filled with water, the curing time must be doubled to ensure maximum bond strength.
- Drill: Drill the hole to the specified diameter and depth.
- Clean: Use a brush and air pump to clean the hole 3 times. Dust-free holes are essential for bond strength.
- Insert Capsule: Place the chemical resin capsule into the hole.
- Drive Stud: Use a hammer drill with a hex adapter to drive the chisel-point stud into the hole, breaking the capsule and mixing the resin.
- Cure: Do not touch or load the anchor until the specified curing time has passed.
- Structural Steelwork: Anchoring columns, beams, and base plates.
- Infrastructure: Highway sound barriers, bridge railings, and tunnel lighting.
- Heavy Machinery: Securing vibrating equipment and robotic arms.
- Underwater Fastening: Specialized epoxy resin versions for marine environments.
